Box Canyon 3-Hour ATV Tour Near Phoenix, Tucson
The Phoenix Tucson Box Canyon Tour takes place in Florence, Arizona, approximately halfway between Tucson and Phoenix along State Route 79. Depending on your location, driving time from either city is roughly 1.5 hours.
Our path is around 34 miles long and takes approximately 3.25 hours to complete. As we journey up and over the front range of the Pinal Mountains, we gain and lose nearly 1500 vertical feet.
Your guide will point out Indian petroglyphs left over from the ancient Native Americans during the trip.
Another interesting feature is a historic adobe structure that operated as a way station for the Butterfield Overland Stage Coach Company during the 1860s Express on what was known as the Butterfield Express.” Box Canyon is the tour’s true highlight.
